How to get to Torino

Thanks to its strategic position at the foot of the surrounding Alps, Torino can be easily reached by plane, train, and car.

By plane

Torino Airport

The Torino international airport is 16 km far from the city center, and has daily flights to the major Italian and European cities. The city center can be reached from the airport by bus (SADEM or Flibco.com bus service, about 7.50 Eu per trip), by taxi (about 40 Eu per trip) or by train (arrival in Torino Porta Susa Train Station, about 3.60 Eu) in approximately 30 minutes. If you prefer to rent a car, offices of the major rent companies (Sixt, Hertz, Europcar, AVIS) can be found in the Arrival hall and inside the multi-storey car park.

Milano Malpensa International Airport

The Milano Malpensa International Airport is located 100 km from Torino, and it offers daily international and intercontinental flights. You can get to Torino from the Milano Malpensa airport either by bus (it takes 2 hour and it costs 22 Eu) or by car.

By train

High-speed trains directly connect Torino to the main Italian cities (Milan, Florence, Rome, Venice, Naple, etc) and to the north of Europe (Paris and Lyon).

The major train stations in the city center are Torino Porta Susa and Torino Porta Nuova.

By car

Torino, and more broadly speaking Piedmont, can be reached by means of five motorways from all over Europe and Italy.

Getting around the city

Torino is well equipped with a modern and efficient urban transport service, which includes buses, trams, railways and an automatic underground line, provided by Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT).

Thanks to its 258 km of bike paths, Torino can be easily explored by bike, with several sharing services also available.
